My parents are from Casalattico, Italy (between Rome and Naples). They emigrated to Dublin in 1956 and in 1960 purchased 148 North Strand Road, for the princely sum of 4000 Irish pounds. My parents ran a Fish & Chip shop at the premises like many Italians in Dublin at the time. They ran a successful business there until 1975 and they leased it to another Italian family.
I took over the premises in 2010 and wanted to open a ‘Sapori D Italia’ so Da Mimmo was born!
We serve fresh homemade Italian food daily. Our specials board changes daily. Our 2 course lunch 8.50 euro is very popular. Da Mimmo was nominated for the Lovin’ Dublin ‘Best Restaurant’ catagory in November 2014. In December 2014 we celebrated 4 years in business. We are proud of our family food tradition at North Strand. We hope future generations of our family will be here serving you in years to come.
See you in Da Mimmo soon!
